Well helllllllllo, everybody!
I know that Blizzcon is approaching fast and all of you have been wondering about the things we have planned for this amazing weekend in Anaheim, California.
Time Flies By… Like Tabbing Out and Missing the Zep
First, let me apologize for not addressing all of these issues sooner. I have been extremely crammed and crunched with work and other projects (exciting things going on that I will announce in the coming weeks) that have held me captive for the past eight weeks. However, we do have a schedule of events and things that we will be doing while at Blizzcon that will hopefully involve all of you as well.
Jury Duty of Fury
Second, let me note again that (as this message posts automatically from a queue) I am currently in jury duty and will not be able to see, view, answer, or respond to any communications until at least October 17, 2015. This includes telephone calls, text messages, Skype calls, Skype messages, Tumblr messages, asks, mails and submissions, tweets and direct messages on Twitter, email messages, and other forms of communication. Therefore, when I do return on October 17, 2015, we are going to have a frantic push towards Blizzcon and fit in as much pregame celebration and buildup as we possibly can.
If you need to get in contact with anyone concerning the podcast while I am away, please contact Turwinkle or Dravvie. Both of them have access to the podcast Tumblr (lookingforroleplay.tumblr.com), the podcast Twitter (twitter.com/LFRPPodcast) and podcast email (LFRPPodcast@gmail.com).
Again, please remember that messages sent to the other studio email addresses, the studio hotline, or my personal social media accounts will be lost in the wind until October 17, 2015.
Red Tape, Blue Tape. Foiled by Being Carded Again!
Third, and we say this will all the tears, sniffles, and sad movie tracks playing in the background that we can fit into one moment, Dravvie will be unable to join the rest of the crew in Anaheim for Blizzcon. Not that we blame her, of course. Not only is traveling to southern California for a week extremely expensive (don’t forget that hotels can charge convention and Disneyland prices), but scrambling to get an ID in time to fly on an airplane is not fun either (gosh darn rules).
Two Mages One Schedule
So with all of that said, listed below are some of the events we have planned for the week of Blizzcon. Turwinkle and I will both be arriving on Wednesday, November 4, 2015. We will probably not be at our hotel until later in the evening, so aside from some vlogging and other things, Wednesday is basically a travel day for both of us. Turwinkle and I will be leaving on Monday, November 9, 2015. Again, we will probably leave relatively early in the afternoon to ensure that we both catch our flights and are not left stranded in Los Angeles. Therefore, Monday is also a travel day.
With those two things in mind, here is a tentative schedule for the week as it concerns the LFRP Podcast and you guys, the listeners:
Thursday, November 5, 2015
1:00 p.m. LFRP Podcast, Role Player, and YouTube Fans Meetup
(Inside the Hyatt Regency Orange County)
11999 Harbor Blvd
Garden Grove, CA 92840
Turwinkle and I will be hanging out outside a Starbucks located near our hotel during the afternoon. We figured that this would be a great day to relax and soak in the nice weather before the madness of the convention begins. In addition, we also figured that this would be a great time to meet all of you! We would love to hang out and talk to all of you lovely folks, even if you are not attending Blizzcon. Role players, fans of the podcast or either of our YouTube channels, friends, WoW subscribers, and family alike are all welcome!
Turwinkle has even graciously offered to buy everyone who shows up ten free drinks a piec- oh. Oh, apparently we cancelled that promotion. Sorry, folks. If you have any complaints, again that’s firstname.lastname@example.org…
10:00 p.m. Tarc and Turwinkle Closing Out the Show at the Con Before the Storm!
Although we STILL cannot announce specifics, we want everyone to know that Turwinkle and I will be performing live on stage at the amazingly awesome Con Before the Storm.
Specifically, we will be working with other amazing creators, podcasters, and hosts as part of “The Forum” at this spectacular event. What is The Forum, you ask? Well, the following is straight from the con’s informational page:
“The Forum” will have discussions and presentations going on all night across two different rooms. There will be some unique guests including cosplayers (with costumes), a live art demo, a beer specialist, and, of course, a lot of Blizzard topics.
Although entry is free to all of the events at Con Before the Storm, please do check out their website and consider getting a ticket to secure your place in all the drawings, contests and fun stuff that they have planned for the evening. Please also be sure to check out the other things going on during the con, as there is ample opportunity to meet fellow gamers and role players while you are there.
Friday, November 6, 2015 and Saturday, November 7, 2015
Turwinkle and I will be vlogging and posting our thoughts on all the happening on both of our Tumblr blogs. We hope to meet more of you at the convention as well!
After Hours with Winkle and Tarc
Turwinkle and I will be vlogging our way around the after parties so if anyone wants to join us in the search for the ultimate krunk, you are free to do so! Again, Turwinkle’s buying all drinks and beverages along the wa- oh. Oh, I guess we cancelled that promotion too. Uhm, again, complaints to email@example.com.
Sunday, November 8, 2015
Nose to the Grind and Hitting the Tables in Vega-!
Turwinkle and I will have a ton of work editing, recording, and blogging about Blizzcon, so Sunday will be a relaxing day spent in Las Veg- oh. Oh, we cancelled that side trip after Turwinkle bet everything on red and lost his plane ticket.
If you guys want to hang out by the pool or take a drive in Los Angeles and explore, I am sure that we can find something to do to end the week properly. Remember, we are here to get Turwinkle swinging in the right direction!
Our Final Form
We are extremely excited to be going to Blizzcon and we hope that all of you who are attending can meet up with us at some point!
In addition to the things mentioned above, there will be a point during the weekend’s activities where we record an episode of the LFRP Podcast (or stream something for all of you live). Dravvie will be joining us for this recording and will be giving everyone her own thoughts about Blizzcon throughout the weekend on her blog.
Thanks again for sticking with us and we hope to be back with you as soon as my jury duty duties are complete!
Be safe, wherever you may be in the world.
